United still intends to visit India in the future

Manchester United group managing director Richard Arnold has confirmed the club's intention to visit India remains intact.

Manchester United were supposed to tour and play some pre-season friendlies in India this season, but that was called-off due to the coronavirus pandemic. With the new season set to start in a short span of time after the current season ends, it doesn't looks like United will be able to visit India any time soon. But don't let your hopes get down Utd India fans as United still intends to India someday.

Speaking to ShivNadar Foundation, Arnold said: " We don't tend to think in terms of market. The fans are all part of a big family. We have been organising live screenings. For the first team to play in India, it has been in our minds for some time now.  We planned to make a trip this summer, but we could not because of the Covid situation. But we will try to make a trip to India in the future."

Being a United fan from India myself, I was really hurt when I heard the team won't be touring India as planned. Screw Covid-19, which spoils everything. But Arnold's comments have reassured me and millions of United fans in India that sooner in the future when the situation permits, Man Utd will be in India. If anyone from United reads this, do make sure when the teams tours India they visit Kolkata. It will be a dream come true. See you soon in India!

Cheers,
Arbab
