Van De Beek came close to joining Real Madrid last season, but a move never materalised. Real Madrid could struggle to land Van De Beek this season because of the financial crisis brought down by the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Daily Star, Periera could be sold to make funds for the Van De Beek transfer. Premier Clubs like Newcastle, West Ham and Everton are all said to be interested in him.
United are rumored to make a starting bid of £36 million for the talented Dutchman - with part of that fund coming from the Periera sale.
One big issue United may have in pursuing Van De Beek to join would be guaranteed playing time, provided Pogba stays at United. But it will be a big plus point to our midfield and team overall, to have three talented midfielders in Van De Beek, Fernandes and Pogba.
