Mason Greenwood has been a sensational revelation this season as he's rocking up the Premier League this season. In his first season with the first team, Greenwood has already scored 13 goals with 6 coming in the league. He is the first 18 year old since Wayne Rooney to have scored 5 or more goals in the Premier League for Man Utd. Solskjaer has been thoroughly pleased with Greenwood's progression and considers sky should be the limit for him. Speaking at his pre-match press conference against Bournemouth, Ole said about Greenwood," He could still play in this season's FA Youth Cup, so he is a young boy we have to look after, but he's performing from the bench or when he starts. Mason has developed fantastically well and the sky is the limit, it's up for him. He knows what he should do,can do and must do to keep on playing. " He's a centre forward by trade, but he likes to drift wide, he likes to face forward, and that's a different role to being the foil through the middle. You can see some centre forwards who like to play with thier back to goal, get hold of the ball, link it, which Mason is improving on. His body is filling out and he can play that position, but I think we can see him, like we have done with Marcus and Anthony as well, they are all good centre-forwards, good footballers, good goalscorers and with good movement. They aren't stuck between the posts. When asked whether Greenwood is better than he was at this age, Solskjaer replied," He is way ahead of where I was at 18 or 19. He has a knack of scoring goals. It is natural for him. He is a brilliant boy to work with, who keeps learning and making better decisions. Indeed, it's a joy to watch Mason. He's a natural finisher and with his rapid growth rate could become the best finisher at the club. He has scored 13 goals more than Rashford did in his breakthrough year ( 12) . Greenwood, he's a rare talent, natural finisher and when he cuts from the right and enters the box and has everyone puzzled from which foot is he gonna shoot is the best thing about him. A gem sent from heaven.
