Rojo, who was on loan at Estudiantes is currently in his native Argentina. Unfortunately, because of the Coronavirus pandemic he couldn't make an impact at his boyhood club, managing to make a mere single appearance. Estudiantes wanted to extend his loan until the end of the year, but United refused as they want to cash in on him with a year left on his contract.
He's out of favour at United and doesn't seems to be in Solskjaer's plans. Rumours of his exit fueled further when at the end of United's last game Ole tapped and told Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake and is believed to have said, ' Keep going, we are looking for a left-footed centre-back'.
Rojo's agent Jonathan Barnett seems to confirm his departure from the club while speaking to Stretty News. Regarding the Argentine's future, Barnett said," I couldn't comment on what Solskjaer thinks but I think it's obvious, I think with Rojo, probably [a move] is more than likely somewhere else. When asked he could move back to his homeland, Barnett replied," I don't know yet. I'm not sure."
It would be very good for United if they manage to get rid of Rojo this summer. He's one of the several deadwood still hanging around at the club and being surplus to requirements, United should sell Rojo. We are pretty well equipped in the centre-back position and he won't be required to play a part in that position. £10-12m for him would be a good sum considering his age and form. Hope we have the best team next season!
