David De Gea makes landmark 400 appearances for United

Yesterday's draw brought a frown on everyone's faces, but there was a reason to smile yesterday: David De Gea's 400th match in a United shirt.

De Gea had already become the overseas player with most appearances for United by overtaking the great Dane Peter Schmichel. It is indeed an amazing feat, becoming a record overseas appearance maker in a club like Manchester United. Its's not easy to survive in a big club like this, and with David approaching his 10th year next season, speaks volumes about his quality.

At times, when United used to be just average, he was the bright star, keeping United's pride intact. He used to be the only world-class player  when we were filled with players, who shouldn't even be playing in the PL.

He has won the Sir Matt Busby Player Of The Year award for a record 4 times , he has won some collective honours like the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup , FA Community Shield and the Europa League. He has also won the PL Golden Glove award in 2017-18, where he kept a whooping 17 clean sheets. Oh, by the way he's kept an astonishing 170 clean sheets.

While he's form of late hasn't been up to the standards set by him, but I'm sure sooner or later he will be back at his very best. We as United fans have got a responsibility to stand by him when he needs us the most. He didn't left us when we were pathetic and he at the top of his game.  Congratulations on this amazing achievement and may you make another 400 appearance for United David!

Cheers,
