Manchester United tops homegrown stats in Europe's top 5 leagues

Manchester United should be proud of their homegrown tradition as they have stood first in the usage of homegrown players in Europe's top 5 leagues.

As revealed above by Tifosy, Man Utd stands first with 40.7% followed by Athletic Bilbao, who's known to nurture and play only Basque-origin players with 37.5% with Celta Vigo taking the third spot with 33.3%. The closest English team is Frank Lampard's Chelsea at seventh with 29.6%, another manager who's earning applauds for him giving opportunities to young lads. Its a testament to the work being done by Ole, who
lives and breathes the ' Utd way'. The club recently celebrated their 4000th consecutive match where at least one academy product has made it to the matchday squad. We have players like Rashford and Mctominay, who play a key role in the squad and then there's Greenwood and Brandon Williams, who have risen through the rank. The last to make the list is City, thus showing the vast difference in class between the two Manchester clubs. I pray we continue with this proud tradition of ours and reach the level we are used to. GGMU
Cheers,
Arbab
