United reject loan plus option to buy offer of Inter Milan

Manchester United have rejected a loan with an obligation to buy offer for Alexis Sanchez from Inter Milan.

According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, Inter Milan had a loan with an obligation to buy offer worth €15m rejected by Manchester United. Inter CEO Gisuppe ' Beppe' Marotta has already admitted they are interested to keep Sanchez beyond his current deal. While Utd, they are only interested in a permanent deal for the Chilean.

Sanchez's loan currently expires on 5th August, which means he will leave after Inter's Round Of 16 clash against Getafe. They are interested to hold on to him until atleast the Europa League campaign and then discuss a deal further.  But United have made it clear to keep Sanchez for the UEL campaign, Inter need to buy him outright.

United have no intention to extend Sanchez's loan, as it would strengthen Inter, who too are eyeing the Europa League crown next month. They don't want Sanchez to play against them if they both make it to the final. The Chilean so far has made 28 appearances for the Nerazzuri in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 10 assists. He has been specially remarkable post-lockdown which has convinced Inter to keep him beyond this season.

Sanchez, he doesn't  have a future at United and would be better off at Inter. But Utd are right in their stance of a permanent deal, as in another loan spell he may not be able to produce stellar performances he's producing now and it may dry down Inter's interest and Sanchez may be stuck around United's neck. Hope Alexis secures a move to Inter soon!
