Juan Mata linked with a transfer to Fenerbahce

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has been linked with a transfer to Fenerbahce. 

According to Fenerbahce transfer expert Ahmet Ercanlar, the club has opened talks with Utd and Fener president Ali Koc is ' confident of signing' El mago.  On a YouTube video for Sansürsuz Futbol, which was translated by Sport Witness, Mata's agent Luis Gustavo is helping engineering a move and claims that an agreement is closed to be reached.

' Fener are looking to replace Max Kruse, who terminated his contract with the Turkish club last month and Ercanlar insists Mata is their first-choice target. It's reported further talks between the two sides will commence in the next few weeks and that the Yellow Canaries are confident [of] signing him.' as reported by Sports Witness. 

It's a pretty ambitious move by Fener and I'm not sure whether they will succeed in getting Mata. Mata, he's a bench strength and in times of injury can be relied upon. He may have fallen down the pecking order to Bruno Fernandes, Daniel James or Mason Greenwood, but he still has a lot to offer.  He still gives satisfying performance off the bench for 10-15 mins, and if given more minutes will surely end the match with a goal or an assist. I don't think United will sell Mata because if that would have been the case, they wouldn't have extended his contract last season. I personally like El Mago a lot , and would be disappointed to see him go because now is not the time to let him go. Hope you stay Juan!
