Ever since Fernandes has came in, he's changed the way Utd play. He's made everyone around him better and demands even more from himself and those around him. Individually, he's been phenomenal, in 13 games he's got 6 goals and 4 assists already. Talking about making others better, just look at a rejuvenated Matic and a more clinical Anthony Martial. He dovetailing well with Pogba, and the second goal yesterday was a proof of that. United are yet to lose when Bruno has played and he's the one who United have been looking for all these years. He's turned Utd's fortunes around, and only will get better and better. 2. Midfield combination is certain Now we know that Matic, Pogba and Fernandes is the right midfield combination going forward. Nemanja Matic is the better option in holding midfield than Fred and McTominay. He's got better positional sense, passing is more accurate and is more of a physical presence than the other two. He can play a part in attack too, as it was because of his stunning pass which lead to the third goal. Pogba and Fernandes has already formed an understanding and looks lively and lethal for the oppositions. No disrespect to Fred and McTominay as they are amazing players too, but these three should be the first choice midfield combination. 3. Greenwood is the future What a talent Greenwood is! A joy to watch. The way he terrorises the defenders, when he cuts in from the right and being both footed leaves the goalkeeper and defenders clueless as to from which foot is he going to shoot. In his first full season, he's already scored 13 goals and looks certain for more. Yesterday, he again showed his talent when he went inside the box and looking like he's gonna shoot from right.. actually scores from left. He's a much better option at right-wing than James and should continue to start ahead of him. We would love to see more of him.
4. Defense is sorted Manchester United finally has a fixed and reliable back with Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire and Shaw. In the last 15 games, United has kept a whooping 11 clean sheets and has conceded just 4 goals which speak volumes of how vastly the team's defense has improved. They have the third best defensive record in the league too with the team having conceded 31 goals behind Liverpool's 21 and Leicester's 29. The talk of buying another centre-back to solidify the defenders is rubbish as Lindelof is good enough to partner Maguire and Bailly and Tuanzebe are reliable back up options. Ole deserves big credit for this vast transformation and with a few more pieces to fit in the puzzle, we could be back competing for major honours in the next season itself. The future looks bright! GGMU Cheers, Arbab
