Manchester United reportedly close to agreeing new deal with Angel Gomes

Man Utd Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the club is close to agreeing a new deal with the hot prospect.

One of the biggest admirers of the Englishman is Head of First team development Nicky Butt, who would be very pleased if the club manages to tie down Gomes to a new contract. Gomes's contract expires at the end of this month, with Chelsea said to be one of several admirers for the talented midfielder, should he decides to leave the club.

United boss Ole told the media: " He's a top kid who we have had at the club for so many years. We have offered him a deal and hopefully he will take that and if not I wish him all the best.'

"From what I understand it's not too far away- but if not we will wish him all the best." 

It's to be seen what will the little magician decide, but just like Ole said if he stays, good for us, but if he doesn't then good luck for the future Angel!
