Inter Milan are interested in extending Sanchez's loan. Sanchez joined Inter on a season-long loan deal at the start of the season and after another injury ravaged campaign, he's found some form of late. Since post-lockdown, Sanchez has started 3 games, where he has scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists. He's finally showing what he's capable of and gradually becoming a vital part of Inter's squad, which has made the hierarchy at Inter to extend his stay in Milano. Inter are paying 60% of Sanchez's £350k/week wages and so with his high wages a permanent transfer looks unlikely. Manchester United don't want Sanchez at United to avoid disruption in the dressing room.
According to Calciomercato.com, ' Sanchez... is now convincing Inter to confirm [he'll stay]. In this sense, contacts have already started with Manchester United, who, however do not agree to renew the loan by paying 7 more of the net 12 million euros of his contract.
' But the English club is willing to negotiate, also because Sanchez ( born in 1988) is no longer part of coach Solskjaer's plans. He picks the two young English talents Rashford ( born in 1997) and Greenwood ( born in 2001) with his eyes closed, and how can we blame him?'
Solskjaer has done the right thing by putting faith on the likes of Rashford and Greenwood, as they have done tremendously well this season. Rashford has scored 21 goals so far, while Greenwood has 16, which is phenomenal considering this is his first season in the first team. Both have done so well, there's no way back for Sanchez at the club and would be better for all the parties if the loan gets extended. One thing though, United should make sure in this extended loan is that there be a purchase clause in his contract, so that if he continues with his good form, Inter snap him up and we get him off our books. Hope Sanchez's stay in Milan gets extended, as he's a deadwood for United. Best of luck at Inter Alexis..hopefully!
