Fortune currently is in charge of the under-23's side along with Neil Wood and has helped several academy stars progress into the first-team. Fortune spent seven seasons under Sir Alex, winning several trophies like the Premier League and the FA Cup, and now he wants to follow in the footsteps of former teammate and current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
" I thought about that question yesterday for some reason and my first thought was that to become the manager of Manchester United," Fortune told the official Manchester United Podcast.
" That's my dream. Of course, I'm starting now with the Under-23s and I'm learning a lot and I want to learn as much as possible management changes so much in the game today. Look I [ may] have to go out and learn somewhere else and become a manager. But the dream, the ultimate dream, is to come back and be the manager of Manchester United. From what I have been through, I'm going for the highest level."
Indeed, Quinton go for the big one. He's done a great job with the reserves as the team finished 2nd in the Premier League 2 group 2, before the season was curtailed due to Coronovirus. There's a long way to go, but who knows what there in store for both United and Fortune. May the best man coach United in the future.
